Dr. Troy Eans, DMD, Prosthodontist

Dr. Troy Eans is a board-certified prosthodontist specializing in the replacement and restoration of missing dental and facial structures. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012 and completed his Certificate in Prosthodontics in 2015.

A recognized leader in his field, Dr. Eans has received numerous honors throughout his career, including being named one of the Top 40 Under 40 Dentists in the USA by Incisal Edge in 2019. He has also been recognized as a Top Dentist both nationally and locally in Pittsburgh for six consecutive years (2016–2021).

Dr. Eans has been actively involved in dental research, contributing to projects on oral surgery and periodontal health, and has held multiple leadership roles, including serving as President of the Pennsylvania Prosthodontic Association from 2018–2019. He was also the Chief Resident at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

Dedicated to education, Dr. Eans has taught both undergraduate and graduate prosthodontics and co-founded “The Implant Protocol,” where he also served as a lecturer and clinical instructor. His clinical interests and expertise include implant restorations, full-arch rehabilitation, and digital dentistry.

An accomplished speaker, Dr. Eans has lectured extensively on topics such as zirconia restorations, implant-supported overdentures, and anterior esthetics across the U.S. His work has been published in the textbook Contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where he contributed Chapter 15 on advanced implant treatment.

In addition to his clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Eans is committed to community service, having contributed to organizations such as the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and Toys for Tots.
